International Standard for Project Management Increases Influence, Comes to India
QAI Becomes First Organization to Get Training Accreditation in India

New Delhi, August 27th, 2009: The defacto standard for Project Management in the UK, PRINCE2®, is increasingly getting global recognition. QAI Global Institute, (www.qaiglobalinstitute.com), the training and development division of the global consulting and workforce development firm QAI, has acquired the status of an ATO (Accredited Training Organization) for conducting PRINCE2® courses and examinations, from APMG-UK to become the first organization in India to receive this accreditation.

PRINCE2® is a process-based approach for Project Management, providing an easily tailored and scaleable method for the management of various types of Projects. This method is practiced by many leading corporations in UK and in other countries.

This accreditation follows intensive review of the organizational quality standards being followed by QAI, assessment of the trainers and the courseware, by APMG-UK, the official PRINCE2® Certification Body, responsible for running of examinations and accreditation of training organizations (ATOs), trainers, consulting organizations and consultants, on behalf of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), UK.

Commenting on the accreditation, S.Ramani, Practice Head for Project Management at QAI, noted, “The continued evolution of PRINCE2 ® method, training and examination systems have contributed significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2® as a truly global standard. More and more people are having the opportunity to benefit from the training courses and qualifications, which are available worldwide.
